A four-year-old pupil from Birkenshaw Primary School will have the honour of switching on the village’s Christmas lights on Sunday.
Isobella Stephenson has been crowned Princess of Light after winning the village association poster competition held at the school.
The event runs from 2pm to 4.30pm with the big switch-on at 4.15pm.
Visitors will be entertained by the Victoria School of Dancing, Birkenshaw Primary School Choir and carol singing.
There will be stalls and refreshments in the Scout headquarters and community hall and Santa will be in his grotto from 2pm to 4pm.
