Councillors have received an update on progress with Airedale Masterplan projects.
Several major regeneration projects in the Aire Valley were outlined in a report to Keighley Area Committee.
The committee, part of Bradford Council, heard that progress was ahead of expectation, despite the poor state of the economy.
Members were told the Masterplan team was actively promoting the town centres of Keighley, Shipley and Bingley to attract visitors.
The team was preparing to access upcoming European funds that could benefit rural areas around the Aire Valley.
Rural regeneration body Pennine Prospects had joined the Airedale Partnership – which drives the Masterplan – to ensure the rural economy was considered and future plans.
The Masterplan is working on projects such as the sale of the former Keighley College buildings.
