Work has been promised this week to solve a major problem affecting street lighting in Silsden.
Dozens of street lamps have been knocked out due to the malfunction with a fuse at one of the town’s electricity substations.
Workers from Northern Powergrid were this week attempting to make repairs.
The problem was highlighted by district councillor Andrew Mallinson (pictured), who in recent weeks has reported more than 30 streetlamps not working.
He was responding to complaints from residents at a recent neighbourhood forum about problems in the Bolton Road, Briggate and Bridge Street area.
A Bradford Council spokesman said that Northern Powergrid had discovered that a fuse in the substation had caused outages on local street lighting.
He said that Northern Powergrid workers were attempting to solve the problem.
