Residents of Keighley West ward have come forward to help deter stone theft and other crime.
They volunteered to take action following a spate of incidents in which Yorkshire stone was taken at the end of the summer.
Last month people from Braithwaite Road and Braithwaite Village met district neighbourhood watch liaison officer, Catherine Winn. The discussion was arranged by ward councillor Jan Smithies.
Coun Smithies explained: “Five residents volunteered to act as neighbourhood watch co-ordinators for different parts of the area near their homes.
“They received information packs, lamppost plaques and other useful resources to protect people and their properties.”
