A Bradford church has been awarded a grant of over £4,000 to help local children with their homework.
The Church Urban Fund has awarded £4,180 to St Paul’s Church, in Manningham, for a “homework support programme” which will help engage with hard-to-reach teenagers from the deprived area surrounding the Church Street church. Rev Alistair Helm (pictured), Incumbent of the church, said: “Working with Mushtaq Hussain, from the Consortia of Ethnic Minority Organisations, and community development workers we will be able to offer a safe space to develop the young people’s confidence and social skills.”
