A Bradford restaurant narrowly missed out on a top prize at the British Curry Awards ceremony held in London last night.
The Aagrah Midpoint restaurant, in Thornbury, had been shortlisted for the Best Spice Restaurant in North East category of the awards, dubbed the ‘Curry Oscars’ by Prime Minister David Cameron.
But, after careful consideration, the judges opted to give the award to the Raval restaurant in Gateshead.
A spokesman for the organisers said the standard of entries had been very high and that everyone shortlisted deserved praise and recognition.
