Keighley’s Oxfam shop is urging townspeople to help the charity save lives in the typhoon-devastated Philippines.
The Low Street outlet is appealing for cash donations to support those who have lost everything and are struggling to survive following the disaster. Several thousand pounds have already been collected in the town.
But Oxfam said the scale of the aid needed was huge and donations were crucial.
Paula Whitehead, Keighley shop manager, said: “We have all seen the terrible images from the Philippines and we all want to help, in however small a way.”
