Five sites across the Worth Valley have so far been earmarked for camping during next year’s Tour de France as part of a Sue Ryder fundraising initiative.
Farmers are opening up their land to cater for the thousands of visitors who will descend on the area when the world-famous cycle race arrives.
Proceeds will be shared with the Sue Ryder charity, which runs Manorlands hospice at Oxenhope and two other care centres in Yorkshire.
Sites close to the route of July’s Grand Depart are currently being offered at Haworth Road, Cullingworth; Back Lane, Stanbury; Dimples Lane, Haworth; Stones Top Farm, Oxenhope, and Westfield Farm Lodge, Penistone Hill, Haworth. Land in Addingham is also on offer.
Visit sueryder.org/ lecamping for more details about the sites.
