It looked as though there was a new fountain in Bradford city centre yesterday when a jet of water 30 feet high appeared in front of City Hall at the junction of Bridge Street and Hall Ings.
But it soon became clear to passers-by that it was a burst water main, and not an addition to the fountains in City Park.
Workmen soon arrived to tackle the burst and traffic was able to flow passed the incident while work to seal it got under way.
