A call is being made to men prepared to get hairy for charity.
Cancer Support Bradford and Airedale set a goal of 150 recruits to their ‘Movember’ Campaign, urging men across the district to grow a tash for cash during November and raise funds for the charity.
So far, 100 men have signed up to grow a moustache, beard, sideburns or have their existing ones shaved off.
One of the recruits Wayne Cosway also got 30 of his friends to join him.
Community fundraiser Linda Enderby said: “We are overwhelmed with the amount of support we have received. Movember is associated with male cancers and although we support people affected by all cancers, 40 per cent of our clients are male”.
Anyone who would like to have their facial hair removed in aid of the charity or thinks they can grow some by November 30, should contact the team on (01274) 202226 for a sponsorship form.
