The next step towards making a town a more welcoming place for people with dementia will take place next month.
Otley Town Council began working on earning the town official Dementia Friendly status in 2012 and has held an awareness-raising week, with Otley Action for Older People, and a launch event.
Now a Dementia Otley Friendly Network is to be formed, to ensure awareness of all the issues among Otley businesses and services.
The network will meet at Otley Core Resource Centre at 6.30pm on Wednesday, December 4, and Labour Councillor Carl Morris hopes anyone whose lives are affected by dementia will attend.
