A time capsule buried by a previous generation was unearthed during building work to create new classrooms at a primary school.
A special assembly was held at Ashlands Primary School in Leeds Road, Ilkley, to go through its contents.
Pupils at the school 18 years ago had buried school work and a variety of labels and packets from foods and drinks of the time.
The school log book also made interesting reading, especially for some members of staff who worked at Ashlands in 1995.
Head teacher Andrew Soutar said the school decided to bury a new time capsule, created by Harry Whitaker from Spooners Engineering, for future generations to discover.
The contents captured some of the work done in school.
He said: “Each class has made a contribution which includes photos, written work and work saved on USB memory drives.”
The 1995 time capsule was dug up by builders Bermar Construction who are creating new classrooms as Ashlands increases to a two form entry.
