Five University of Bradford graduates have won an entertainment accolade at the Royal Television Society’s Yorkshire Centre Student Television Awards.
Films submitted by students were judged by a panel of industry professionals and presented at a ceremony at York Racecourse hosted by ITV Yorkshire’s Victoria Whittam.
The student production ‘Telebox’ was announced as the winner of the 2013 RTS Yorkshire Centre Award becaue of its strong script, excellent camera work and direction.
Top Comedian Lucy Beaumont presented the award to the winning students Elliot Nelson, Alex Rudys, Nichola Emsley, Simeon Petkov and Gary Quan who graduated last summer.
Head of the University of Bradford’s Media School, Ali Rashid, said: “Congratulations to our media graduates for winning the RTS Entertainment Yorkshire Student Award 2013 with their Telebox film. This original comedy drama was conceived, scripted and produced with 12 weeks.
“The RTS Awards are the gold standard of achievement in the television community so we are extremely proud that our students have received such acclaim.”
