A Bradford city centre restaurant will re-open tomorrow after a rent dispute with landlords was settled out of court.
Leeds-based PG Catering Ltd had run Buffet@Bradford out of premises owned by the Hilton hotel in Hall Ings since 2009, but the restaurant was shut suddenly overnight on October 24.
The Hilton Worldwide group said the restaurant would not be opening again, but PG’s directors have now confirmed the reprieve.
In a statement, they claimed that the rent, understood to be over a year in arrears, was actually only a quarterly payment 21 days overdue. No-one at Hilton Worldwide was able to comment last night. A lion dance with firecrackers will herald the restaurant’s re-opening for customers at 1pm tomorrow.
