A wife has paid tribute to her “amazing” husband who died while playing the sport he loved.
Father-of-two Roy Armstrong, 49, collapsed on Riddlesden golf course.
His wife of 24 years, Hilary, said: “He was an amazing man. He was always laughing and was a joker.
“So many people knew him and loved him. We couldn’t go anywhere without bumping into someone he knew!”
Mr Armstrong, a builder, of Beauvais Drive, Riddlesden, had been a member of the village golf club for several years.
The couple have a son Christopher, 22, and a daughter Becci, 18. Mr Armstrong’s funeral was held at Oakworth Crematorium.
