An 11-year-old girl with severe disabilities is enjoying exploring the countryside thanks to help from two local Lions clubs.
Otley and Leeds Skyrack Lions both donated to help pay for a new, specially designed wheelchair for Amelie Stone.
Amelie, from Cookridge, has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and severe epilepsy. She is also profoundly deaf and visually impaired.
One of the activities she enjoys most is getting out into the country with her family.
Otley Lions' publicity officer, Patrick McCauley, said: "When Amelie’s situation came to our attention, both clubs were pleased to make a donation to cover most of the cost of the wheelchair.
"Amelie is making good use of the wheelchair and enjoying her outings into the countryside, even in the autumn weather."
