A dinner has dished up £59,000 for Manorlands.
More than 260 guests attended the beef and beer dinner, by the Manorlands Challenge Committee.
Cask ales were donated by Keighley brewery Timothy Taylor, and beef by Dovecote Park, near Pontefract.
Master of ceremonies was Taylor’s managing director Charles Dent, and an auction was conducted by auctioneer Richard Waring. Funds raised on the night – through ticket sales and an auction – totalled £34,000, and £25,000 was given by Nottingham-based chartered surveyors George Hallam & Sons.
Manorlands-based Sue Ryder regional fundraiser Rachel Cunningham paid tribute to all those involved in the event, which was held at the Craiglands Hotel, Ilkley.
