A moped rider was injured after a collision between the bike and a car in Bradford today.

The crash happened at about 4pm at the junction of Tong Lane and New Lane, close to Tong Garden Centre, said police.

The Highways Agency said New Lane was partially blocked in both directions, between Tong Lane and Raikes Lane, following the collision.

A police spokesman said the road was clear by about 4.20pm and that the rider suffered minor injuries. He added that the vehicles involved were a green Vauxhall Vectra and a blue and a white Kymco moped.

The female driver of the Vectra is not believed to have been injured, said police.
