Let there be light – and lots of money raised for charity.
Peter Downes from All Alone Road in Idle has started his yearly mammoth task of stringing up thousands of pounds of festive twinkling lights round his house and garden for the switch-on on Friday, November 29, at 6pm.
The annual lights spectacular has raised almost £10,000 for Bradford’s Marie Curie hospice from its past displays and Mr Downes, whose father was at the hospice for a short time, hopes this year's sparkling event will draw in lots more money.
