A soap stalwart will swap Emmerdale village for Shipley town centre when she opens a new shop this week.
The Marie Curie Cancer Care store will be officially opened by Meg Johnson, who has played Pearl Ladderbanks in the ITV show for ten years.
The actress will be joined by head of shops at the charity Alec Barclay to cut the ribbon tomorrow at 11am.
He said: “We are delighted to be trading in Shipley and I am extremely thankful to all our hard-working staff and volunteers who have rallied round to get the new shop up and running.
