Children in Bradford will soon be able to learn how to snorkel – without having to face the elements.
Bradford Council is hosting snorkelling courses at Bowling Pool starting on Thursday and lasting for ten weeks. The 30-minute sessions, aimed at juniors aged between eight and 16-year-olds, will be offered following a successful trial of taster sessions during the October half term holiday.
Run by Bradford Aquatics in partnership with the Divers Warehouse, the classes take place on Saturdays between 10-11am and Thursdays between 4.30-5.30pm. The course will cost £48.50 per person for the full 10-weeks or £36.40 for Passport to Leisure Card holders. Children must be confident swimmers and able to swim 25 metres.
Places must be booked in advance and application forms are available at the reception at Bowling Pool.
