Worth Valley Primary School has won a £2,500 grant from the Community First fund to help create an activity trail.
The Keighley school is creating the trail to honour former pupil Riley Turner, who died aged four, after an incident at his Bracken Bank home in January.
The grant is one of four approved this week by the Keighley West Community First panel, which is made up of local people.
The panel also approved £2,500 for Let’s Grow Keighley, to encourage schools, community centres and local groups to grow their own food.
Pat a Pony will receive £750 towards the cost of taking miniature ponies into care homes to meet residents.
A further £1,500 will support a new scheme to support autistic young people in areas such as Bracken Bank and Braithwaite.
