Members of a Bradford club took part in an epic 24-hour snooker competition to help raise funds for the city’s Marie Curie Hospice.
The Harold Club in Low Moor began fundraising several months ago, collecting sponsorship and donations for the event.
It also held a fundraising cabaret night to add to the coffers, totalling £5,438.79.
Charlie Holt, the main organiser at the club, said: “We organised a snooker tournament to raise funds for the Bradford Hospice in 2009 and raised an incredible £5,200.
"When we set out we were hoping to match the total this year but to have raised even more is incredible.
“We’re a small club but everyone has really got behind the fundraising.“
Marie Curie community fundraiser Helen Rowlands said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the members of the Harold Club for organising this fantastic fundraising marathon in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.”
