Firefighters are having to take safety precautions when called out to an area of Bradford after a crew came under attack from yobs.

A Bradford fire station crew was called out to a rubbish fire on Falmouth Avenue, off Otley Road, Undercliffe, when youths started throwing stones.

The gang fled after the incident at about 5.30pm last Friday. Watch Commander Alan Holdsworth said: “It just highlights the problem of firefighters coming under attack by idiots throwing stones, and targeting them basically because they are wearing a uniform.”
