A 61-year-old runner from Bradford has completed the New York Marathon for the seventh time.
Joginder Singh, of Flockton House, has just got home with his medal – and says he will be doing it all over again next year.
Last year the New York event was cancelled by the city mayor after Hurricane Sandy devastated the city. But hundreds of runners, including Mr Singh, refused to be bowed and did four laps of the city’s Central Park – a total of 26 miles.
Mr Singh, who has raised thousands of pounds to help blind people in India, said this year's effort was for personal achievement but he will be running more and raising more money for charities in the future.
He said: “I am aiming for ten marathon medals.”
