A branch of the Polish Ex-Combatants Association has praised Bradford Council for their work in honouring war veterans in the city.
A Polish monument stands near the cenotaph in the memorial gardens near the Alhambra Theatre, which has recently been re-designed with a pathway added allowing easier access.
Romana Pizon, chairman of the Bradford branch, which has 83 members including 20 war veterans, said: “The improvements are very much appreciated and welcomed by the entire Polish community in Bradford. It is a real pleasure to visit the gardens, they are a real credit to the city and the council.”
