Hundreds of Otley schoolchildren have been finding out more about ‘wonder goo’ and indestructible lightbulbs.
Television scientist Fran Scott delighted year one to year six pupils at Otley Courthouse with her presentation of Science Misadventures: Daring Demos And Science Stunts.
The topics included an experiment involving firing a lightbulb covered in a protective sticky substance from a cannon to see if it survived intact.
Fran, from CBBC’s Absolute Genius and How To Be Epic At Everything, got the children involved in many of the stunts.
The show was part of the 2013 Otley Science Festival which concludes today with an all-day Science Fair followed by a talk at 7.30pm by BBC natural history presenter Mike Dilger.
