The funeral has been held for a retired police officer who served the people of Bradford for 35 years.
Scores of former colleagues, and senior officers attended the service for Barry Carpenter, who spent his entire career in the district. Mr Carpenter, who was 70, died after an illness.
His funeral took place at Scholemoor Crematorium.
The officer, who remained a constable throughout his career, began working for West Yorkshire Police as a bobby on the Holme Wood estate, then moved to Laisterdyke, Bradford Bridewell and Eccleshill.
His daughter, Charlotte Blyth, 38, said she had been overwhelmed by the number of her father’s former colleagues who attended his funeral.
She said: “There were around 100 people at the funeral and quite a lot were former colleagues, including senior officers.”
He was twice married, to the late Marjorie, and his second wife Marilyn.
He had one daughter, Charlotte, with his first wife.
