The scene of the accident
Two people were taken to hospital following a collision. The crash, which involved a red Nissan Micra and an Audi A3, happened at about 8.50am on the A59, between Skipton and Broughton yesterday. The A59 was blocked and reopened at 10.10am. Police said two people, including an elderly woman, were taken to Airedale General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident led to delays as drivers were advised to seek alternative routes.
