A London horseman’s guard was in Bradford today to announce a new rail service between the city and the capital.
Train operator Grand Central brought London to City Park as it revealed it is introducing a new direct daily connection between Bradford and London, starting on Monday, December 9.
The new service will leave Bradford Interchange for King's Cross at 7.52am with a return journey at 4.03pm.
To promote the extra connection, passers-by in City Park were invited to dress up and have their picture taken with the sights of London in a special photobooth.
Sean English, the company's general manager, said: “We are excited to launch our fourth daily direct service on the West Riding route, which means we can offer more accessible travel for the people of Yorkshire.
“Grand Central provides many communities in Yorkshire with their only direct service to the capital, connecting customers with wonderful destinations, attractions and many hidden gems.
“I hope that customers will take advantage of this great new service.”
