The scene of the crash
An elderly woman has been badly injured in a head-on crash near Skipton today.
The collision, which involved a red Nissan Micra and an Audi A3, happened at about 8.50am on the A59, close to Broughton Hall. .
Other motorists tended to the woman, while some directed traffic past the collision. Emergency services are at the scene.
