A 25-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was found strangled in a caravan behind a house in Bradford.
James Gray appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court today accused of murdering Jade Watson, 22, whose body was found at the house in Wood Lane, Swain House, on November 5.
Gray, of Wood Lane, was remanded in custody to next appear at Bradford Crown Court on Monday.
A post-mortem examination has confirmed that Miss Watson, of Plumpton Gardens, Wrose, Shipley, died from “pressure to the neck consistent with strangulation”.
Officers found her body in the caravan at the back of the house after being alerted by paramedics.
It is understood Miss Watson worked at the In Plaice fish and chip shop in Sunbridge Road in Bradford city centre.
The manager of its sister shop Drake Fisheries said last night: “It was more than a shock – and she has two kids as well. She was polite, pleasant and good with customers and staff. All the staff were upset about it when they heard.”
