The group spearheading attempts to save Haworth Fire Station will devise a masterplan to push the project forward.
It will draw up a detailed list of what needs to be done to ensure the station can continue to provide an emergency service.
The blueprint will look at likely sources of long-term funding and organisations that couldshare the use of the building on Station Road.
Chairman John Huxley said senior fire officers had pledged to support a voluntary fire service, so long as the councils could present a viable plan.
He said: “The devil’s in the detail – if we can come up with the right solution and show where the money will come from.
