Bradford’s Alhambra theatre is holding a vintage fair tying in the 1940s theme of To Sir, With Love, running at the theatre this week.
The critically-acclaimed production runs until Saturday. The new stage adaptation by Ayub Khan-Din, who wrote East is East, is set in the late 1940s and features songs and dances from the period.
On Saturday, from noon to 5pm, Bradford Theatres will host a vintage fair at the Alhambra, featuring a selection of stallholders provided by Rose & Brown Vintage.
Items for sale include vintage fashion and homewares, including 1940s pieces such as hats, bags, cufflinks and ‘kitchenalia’.
Bradford College students will be doing hair and make-up demonstrations reflecting the post-war look, and there will be Lindy-hop dancing by Swinging Sue’s Dancing School.
