A Pudsey woman who suffered a stroke at the age of 28 while giving birth to her daughter leapt off a 17-metre platform to raise cash for the Stroke Association.
Helen Cowling took part in the fundraising feat by travelling down a 460ft zipwire from the top of Headingley Carnegie Stadium in Leeds.
Helen’s stroke left her with right side co-ordination, communications difficulties and visual impairment. Five years on, her co-ordination has returned however she has lost right side peripheral vision in both eyes leaving her with only 50 per cent vision and unable to drive.
She joined 60 people to take on the great Carnegie zipslide and raised £185. Visit justgiving. com/helen-cowling3.
