A Bradford MP will tackle a pedometer challenge to help raise awareness of diabetes.
David Ward, who represents Bradford East, will go up against other MPs to see who takes the most steps on a chosen day before World Diabetes Day on November 14.
The winner will be presented with an award by the Reverend Jesse Jackson at the Silver Star Diabetes’ Health and Diversity Breakfast Seminar on December 5.
Mr Ward said: “Many people in Bradford are suffering from diabetes, so it is great that Silver Star Diabetes take action to raise awareness for the condition. Helping people to lead healthy lifestyles is important, and testing people for diabetes plays a vital step towards achieving that.”
