The usual hush of a library was broken with the lively sounds of African drumming and music for Indian dance in Cleckheaton.
Children visited the library in Whitcliffe Road for a day of multi-cultural activities which included drumming, Indian dance, Zumba and arts and crafts.
Kirklees Council organised the event with artists including Soundjata and Annapurna Indian Dance.
Customer service officer Alison Powell said: “We’ve had quite a few children in and they’ve all enjoyed it.
“It was a very noisy session!”
