A man was robbed after he was lured to a flat by two women who befriended him in Bradford city centre, a court heard yesterday.
Prosecutor Imran Khan told Bradford Crown Court that the male victim had been approached by the two women who invited him back to a flat.
But when he entered the premises, in Sedgwick Close, off Lumb Lane, Manningham, he was assaulted and robbed of his mobile phone and cash.
Mr Khan said police made three arrests but each suspect gave a different account about the incident, which happened in July, 2012.
The court heard that the defendant, Karen Stones, 47, of Club Street, Lidget Green, Bradford, pleaded guilty to theft on a basis that she accepted a male went to the flat, there was an altercation with her partner and the man was thrown out. She then took a mobile phone which he had left and sold it on.
Mr Khan said that a month later Stones approached another man, who was walking home, and asked him for 37p.
He declined and carried on walking, but he was followed by the defendant and he stopped and gave her £2.
As he reached his property he was approached by a group of men, knocked to the ground and punched and kicked.
The defendant re-appeared and said the victim, who had a bloody nose, had given her £2 for sexual services. A car then pulled up and he was bundled in and driven to a cashpoint. Stones admitted robbery and the theft.
Her barrister, David Hall, said she had pleaded guilty at an early stage and had been in custody for 14 months.
Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC sentenced Stones to a total of 15 months imprisonment suspended for two years. He ordered she had one-to-one supervision from the probation service for 12 months.
Judge Durham Hall said the defendant did not appear to have gone back to drink and drugs and she had a supportive relationship.
