Actor Bernard Cribbins
An Oakworth man who appeared in the classic 1970 movie version of The Railway Children is to be reunited with one of its stars.
Graham Mitchell was a guard in the film, which was shot on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (K&WVR).
Now he has been invited to a glittering lunch in London to celebrate the 70-year showbusiness life of Bernard Cribbins, who starred in the movie as Mr Perks.
A galaxy of big names from TV and film, ranging from June Whitfield to Barbara Windsor, will be at next Saturday’s event.
