Murder detectives today revealed a man they want to trace over the death of a 21-year-old woman is her husband and the father of her two-month-old daughter.
Police last night released a picture of Danish Irfan, 21, after the body of a woman, believed to be Ridda Zanab, was found when officers were called to Alford Terrace, Lidget Green, early yesterday.
Detective Superintendent Mark Ridley this morning issued an urgent appeal to establish his whereabouts.
It is believed he may have travelled to Manchester, but could be anywhere in the UK, and could try to flee to Pakistan.
Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him and call 999.
Meanwhile, a post mortem has confirmed Mrs Zanab, whose body has not yet been formally identified, died of head injuries.
