Pudsey Bear will be honoured with a Children in Need bike ride starting at the post office in the town with which he shares his name.
Post Office staff will set off on The Pudsey Bike Ride for an 85-mile cycle across Yorkshire – in the shape of Pudsey Bear’s ears – on Wednesday.
Along the way they will visit branches at Harrogate Road in Bradford, Wetherby, Market Weighton and in Hull, finishing the ride at Hull’s Boulevard Academy to see a Children in Need funded sports project.
Head of the Post Office Finance Services Centre Rod Ismay will lead the ride. He said: “As individuals and as leaders within a responsible organisation, we should take a lead role in supporting community projects.
“BBC Children In Need is a charity that we have loved supporting. Bake sales, raffles and children’s colouring competitions will be among fundraising efforts at the post offices on the way.
