A young mother caught tending a £250,000 cannabis farm was illegally trafficked to the UK and exploited, Bradford Crown Court heard.
Phuong Nguyen, 29, was brought to this country in a truck from Vietnam and agreed to look after the illegal factory in Mayo Avenue, Bankfoot, Bradford.
Nguyen pleaded guilty to production of cannabis, between January 1 and June 2 this year, and abstracting electricity to heat the plants.
She left the court in tears after she was sentenced to six months imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.
Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC heard that Nguyen was now able to work legally in the UK and training to be a nail technician.
The court was told that police raided the cannabis factory on June 2.
Police found 132 cannabis plants and 432 cuttings, with a combined street value of almost £250,000.
