Experience the impossible as escapologist Antony Britton displays one of his most dangerous stunts that he has ever created at City Park on Saturday. Never seen before by the public, Britton brings his underground escape Lucifer's Chamber at 6pm. There will also be live bands and DJs and magicians performing.
On Saturday, the Alhambra theatre hosts a vintage fair. Stallholders will be selling vintage fashion and homewares from the 1920s to the 1980s and Bradford College students will be doing hair and make-up demonstrations of the post-war look. There will be Lindy-hop dancing and you can enjoy a range of sandwiches and cakes with a 1940s twist.
West Yorkshire Fire Service is holding a Fireworks Extravaganza at its headquarters in Bradford Road, Birkenshaw, on Friday, featuring children’s rides and live music. Gates open at 6pm nd the fireworks display takes place at 8pm.
Otley Science Festival runs until Saturday. Starting the festival is Kids Film & Fun with Wall-E. Go along as a family and build a robot from recycled boxes, toilet rolls and milk bottle tops, then watch the children’s classic, Wall-E, on the big screen. It runs from 10am to 2pm, and Tickets are £4 with one accompanying adult free.
Baildon Methodist Church hosts a Big Christmas Fair on Saturday from 10am-2pm. Santa will be in his grotto, and there will be many stalls including cakes, bath and beauty products, books, bulbs, gifts jams and pickles. There will be games for the children and refreshments from Wesleys cafe. Proceeds will go to Action for Children.
