Fire crews across Bradford this morning were due to form picket lines outside their stations as they took part in their second national strike in three days.
Members of the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) were due to stage a walk out between 6am and 8am in a row over Government changes to their pensions, following on from a four-and-a-half hour strike on Friday night.
Lee Indricks, divisional secretary of Bradford FBU, who works at Fairweather Green fire station, said firefighters were striking over plans which would mean they have to work until they’re 60.
He said they would be paying more into their pensions, but would have their pensions cut if they had to retire early.
