Children have been enjoying the great outdoors during school holiday forest camps.

Half-term activities run by social enterprise company Get Out More were held in Saltaire, Ilkley and Bingley.

Organiser Annie Berrington said: “They absolutely love it. I’ve got kids coming back time after time. A lot don’t get a chance to play out perhaps as much as I did when I was young.

“They get to be creative and work as a team, build dens and cook marshmallows on a campfire.

“The parents are happy for them to come for the day, then they’re full of stories about what they’ve been doing. A lot of parents say the kids sleep well after a day running about in the woods.”
