The owner of a Queensbury House has applied for retrospective permission to turn the ground floor into a childminding business.
Bradford Council had written to Samantha Mungall, of Western Place, telling her she would need to apply for permission for her existing childminding business.
A letter to the Council says up to 18 children are at the house at any time.
It adds: “This childminding service is the only service in the area which cares for children attending the Stocks Lane Primary School. If permission were not forthcoming, it would certainly mean children and parents having to travel to another childminding facility, in all likelihood further away.”
