Raiders ransacked a Bingley tattoo parlour and stole bespoke jewellery and a computer after kicking in its door.
The Blue Dog studio in Industrial Street was targetted at about 4.45am on Wednesday, said body piercer Terri Silvester.
“They went through the whole shop and hand-picked things – some specially-designed jewellery with little blue plastic dogs on it, a Mac desktop computer and other jewellery.
“Thankfully they didn’t touch the tattooing needles or the inks.
“But it now means we’ve got all the expense of installing security shutters and things like that,” she said.
Also taken was a distinctive animal print black and white springbok skin rug.
A police spokesman said officers were called to the tattoo parlour by a resident who spotted a burglary in progress He said: “Officers attended within minutes but there was no-one inside on arrival. Inquirires were conducted in the nearby area and forensic investigtaions into the matter are under way.
“Anyone who saw suspicious behaviour outside the shop at around 4.40am or who saw a person or persons running from the scene is asked to contact Airedale and North Bradford CID on 101.”
