People in Bradford are being invited to help bring joy to disadvantaged children in more than 100 countries.

Over the past 23 years Operation Christmas Child, through the Samaritan’s Purse charity, has delivered more than 100 million gift-filled shoeboxes.

Volunteers across West Yorkshire are now busy setting up drop-off points and warehouses in order to collect and process the thousands of shoeboxes that will be sent to children this Christmas.

“Christmas is almost upon us and we urgently need people in West Yorkshire to work with us to help us reach our target of delivering one million shoeboxes from the UK this year,” said Judith Powell, Samaritan’s Purse area co-ordinator for West Yorkshire.
