Funds have been secured for a new project to improve woodland near historic Bowling Park in Bradford.
Tackling the Roughs is a scheme run by Bradford Community Environment Project (BCEP) which is teaching people to keep it going after attracting three-year funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The project will include environmental education for children to encourage enthusaism for the outdoors. There will also be practical workshops in conservation skills.
It will start with a consultation of action groups, community organisations and the community to work out a plan of action in caring for the woodland over three years.
Anyone wanting to be involved should contact BCEP on (01274) 223236 or e-mail info@bcep.org.uk.
BCEP can be contacted on (01274) 223236 or by visiting becp.org.uk.
