It seems just about every society has snapped up Calendar Girls since it became available for amateur theatre a couple of years ago.
Now it’s the turn of Harden Players to bring the story of the WI and their fundraising nude calendar to the stage. Tim Firth’s charming play – based on the real-life story of the ladies of Rylstone and District WI, near Skipton, whose calendar raised more than £3 million for Leukaemia Research – runs at Harden Congregational Church Hall from Wednesday to Saturday. The central role of Annie is played by Astrid Croasdale, while Chris is played by Karen Shaw.
Emma Truelove is directing the production and tickets are available at Harden Newsagents.
